Faerie Equipment

How to Unlock

  • Faerie-exclusive equipment only unlocks after Anemone has been pulled. She does not need to be registered or in the active party.
  • Enter the Royal Capital from the map to watch a brief cutscene between two random Adventurers. This is the sign that Faerie gear is now added to your account.
  • Speaking with the Guild elf expert is not required.
  • The Item Shops in all towns should now sell generic Faerie gear. None of these pieces come with Set Effects.

Basics

  • Faerie gear is race restricted and cannot be used by other units. Class restrictions still apply. For Anemone, as a Healer, this means she can only equip 1H Staffs and Cloth armor.
  • Faeries can equip normal equipment, but it comes with a serious penalty.
    • All inherent stats are reduced to zero (0).
    • Stat increases only come from your Blessing lines.
    • The only exceptions are accessories and inherent gear passives.
  • Faerie units will underperform without a Faerie weapon equipped since they will lose out on 200+ points to their primary class stat. Weapons have the lowest drop rate at 2.5%.
  • Faerie equipment only comes from Faerie Junk, which is dropped by a rare enemy called the Capricious Pixie.

Sets

  • Faerie equipment comes in sets. There is a total of 12 as of Anemone's release.
  • Each has a Set Name, Set Skill, and Set Effect.
  • The Set Skill provides a unique passive (Set Effect) that provides an additional benefit.
  • All Faerie equipment comes at 1/3 Strength (Unification). This means you need 3 copies for +15 enhancement and 9 copies for +20.
  • Base (Non-Fine) versus Fine
    • Most pieces have both a Base (Non-Fine) and Fine version.
    • Only the Fine version can activate Set Skills.
    • The Fine version has a fixed 30% drop rate from any Fairy junk.
  • Set Skills only activate once 2 conditions have been met:
    • At least 3 pieces of a set are equipped.
    • At least 1 of the 3 pieces is a Fine version.
  • Set Skill Levels
    • Set Skills have 4 levels. Each piece of Fine gear equipped increases the level by +1.
    • The higher the level the stronger the Set Effect passive.
  • All sets have at least 4 pieces across the main equipment categories. However, the mix of gear is different for each one.
  • Only Oldwood Bark, Sacred Tree, Bone-Adorned Fur, and Flower Petal have 1H Rods.
  • Flower Petal is Fine only.
  • It is possible to have 2 different Set Effects active at one time but requires careful planning.
  • The Faerie Set system is inherently confusing. See the next set of tabs for examples.

Faerie Junk

Capricious Pixie

  • The Capricious Pixie is the only source of Fairy Junk in the game outside limited-time events. It does not drop from normal Pixies. The only source for Faerie equipment is the Item Shop.
  • Extremely rare. Encounter rates are similar to a Ninja, Mimic, or Relic monster, estimated at 1-2%.
  • Guaranteed to drop at least 1x basic Fairy junk. The maximum is 2x basic and 1x Unusual junk. The amount of junk appears to be purely RNG-based.
  • Appears in every Abyss on select floors, Dens, and a handful of side dungeons.
  • 7 different varieties. A base version and one for each of the 6 different Types. Compendium entries are No. 194-200.
  • Does not have higher HP or unique attacks compared to normal Pixies.
  • Only appear in a specific sub-set of enemy formations for a given floor.
  • When those enemy formations are encountered it appears the game does an RNG roll for adding a Capricious Pixie to the battle.
  • Discord members have reported encountering 1 Caprcious Pixie every ~2 hours, on average. Consequently, building a full set of +20 gear is a long-term project given their low appearance rates.

Junk Details

  • The official junk tables are located here. CTRL + F and input "Fairy Junk".
  • All Fairy junk has 2 Groups:
    • Group 1 drop rate is 70% and only contains the basic versions.
    • Group 2 drop rate is 30% and only contains the Fine versions.
  • Basic versus Unusual Fairy Junk
    • Basic can roll up to 3* Blue.
    • Unusual can roll up to 4* Purple.
  • Weapons
    • All weapons are fixed at a 2.5% drop rate.
    • This number is misleading. If you are looking for a 4* Purple, 1H rod for Anemone the actual drop rate is 30% (Group 2) x 2.5% = 0.75%. Note that this is only from Unusual Fairy junk, so it would take several hundred to get 9 copies in order to +20 any weapon.
